Southport Towns Fund

Sefton Council

We are delighted to have played a part in securing one of the largest single Town Deals in the UK providing £37.5 million funding for the seaside town of Southport.

The funding was recently awarded as part of over £1 billion funding for a further 45 towns in England through the Towns Fund, supporting long-term economic and social regeneration as well as immediate recovery from the impacts of COVID-19.

Working collaboratively with the Town Board and Sefton Council and alongside Turley and RAL Architects we helped to devise a vision and masterplan for the town and draft the Town Investment Plan.

The main vision was underpinned by the transport strategy that gave president to sustainable modes of transport building on the recent work undertaken within the Borough to promote sustainable access to the town.
