Retirement Living Projects

Input to such projects has involved the production of an initial Access Appraisal, scoping our input with the Local Highway Authority, the design of a suitable site access and the production of a Transport Statement and Travel Plan. We will also undertake a review of the site access and internal layout to ensure that vehicles can enter the site, manoeuvre around the site, access the parking spaces and exit the site safely. Of particular importance with such schemes is the identification of safe pedestrian routes from the building, through the car park and out onto the surrounding footway network. Outside of the site, the identification of any improvements to pedestrian connectivity to surrounding facilities and services is a key component of our input. The level of parking provision for such schemes is also important, as many of the schemes fall between the parking requirements for land use classes C2 and C3.
